How Can I Use Video To Grow My Business?

At Sticky Story, we get this question all the time, "How Can I Use Video To Grow My Business? Using a video to market your business can be a highly effective way to showcase your products or services, build brand awareness, and engage with your target audience. Here are some tips for using a video to market your business:

1.     Identify your target audience. This might sound obvious to some, but you'd be surprised that some people jump into the video without thinking about who's watching and what they want to hear. Before creating a video, it's important to identify who you want to reach with your message. Who is your ideal customer? What are their needs and pain points? This will help you tailor your video to the right audience.

2.     Choose your message: Once you know who your audience is, you can choose a message that will resonate with them. What is the unique value proposition of your business? What problem do you solve for your customers? Your message should be clear, concise, and focused on the benefits your business provides.

3.     This is so imporant, "Tell a story". People connect with stories, so use your video to tell a story that showcases your business in an engaging and relatable way. This could be a story about how your business was founded, a customer success story, or a behind-the-scenes look at how your products are made.

4.      Keep it short and sweet: Attention spans are short, so get to the point fast. Did you know that a gold fish has an attention span of 8 seconds and a human's attention span is only 6 seconds. Maybe that's an old wives’ tale. I’m not sure, but aim for a length of 60 to 90 seconds, and make sure your message is communicated within the first few seconds of the video.

5.     Promote your video. Often, a company wants to make a video and then has no idea what to do with it. It's best to come up with a marketing strategy for your video beforehand. Once your video is complete, it's important to promote it to your target audience. Share it on social media, embed it on your website, and include it in email marketing campaigns. You can also use paid advertising to reach a wider audience.

In conclusion, using videos to market your business can be a powerful tool to showcase your products or services, build brand awareness, and engage with your target audience. To create an effective video, you must identify your target audience, choose a clear and concise message that focuses on the benefits of your business, tell a compelling story that resonates with your audience, keep it short and sweet, and promote it to your target audience.

Remember, the goal of your video should be to connect with your audience, build trust, and ultimately, drive conversions. Until we meet again, have a great week and don't forget to subscribe to keep up with all the Sticky Story Secrets.

The Power of Video Storytelling: How to Boost Your Business's Brand Recognition and Conversion Rates

Storytelling has been a crucial aspect of human communication since the dawn of time. From cave paintings to ancient myths, stories have the power to inspire, captivate, and influence people's perceptions and behaviors. In the world of business, storytelling has become a valuable tool for creating brand awareness, building customer relationships, and ultimately driving sales.

As technology continues to evolve, businesses are constantly seeking new ways to tell their stories and capture the attention of their target audience. In recent years, video has emerged as the ultimate storytelling tool for modern businesses. In this blog post, we will explore why video is such a powerful medium for storytelling and how businesses can use it to connect with their audience in new and exciting ways.

 1. The Power of Video in Business Storytelling: How to Use Visual Storytelling to Connect with Your Audience

Humans are visual creatures, and we are naturally drawn to images and videos. Research has shown that the brain processes visual information much more quickly and effectively than text. In fact, according to a study by 3M Corporation, visuals are processed 60,000 times faster than text. This means that video, as a visual medium, has the potential to capture and hold our attention more effectively than any other type of content.

Moreover, video has the power to capture emotions, build empathy, and leave a lasting impression. A well-crafted video can tell a story in a way that engages our senses, evokes our emotions, and helps us connect with the characters and their experiences. By using visual and auditory cues, video can create a multi-sensory experience that leaves a deeper and more lasting impression on the viewer.

This is particularly important in the world of business storytelling, where brands need to connect with their audience on an emotional level to build trust, loyalty, and engagement. A well-crafted video can showcase a brand's values, highlight its unique selling points, and create a strong emotional connection with the audience. In short, video has the power to bring your brand's story to life and make it resonate with your target audience in a way that no other medium can.

2.  The Power of Visuals

Over the last decade, the use of video in marketing and business storytelling has skyrocketed. There are several reasons for this rise in popularity, including:

Increased Access to Technology: With the proliferation of smartphones, tablets, and affordable cameras, it has become easier than ever to create high-quality videos.

Growth of Social Media: Social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok have made it easier for businesses to share their videos with a wider audience.

Improved Internet Speeds: The widespread availability of high-speed internet has made it easier for users to consume video content.

Effectiveness in Engaging Audiences: As previously mentioned, videos are more engaging than other forms of content, making them a powerful tool for businesses looking to connect with their audience.

Analytics and Metrics: Digital platforms have made it easier for businesses to track and analyze the performance of their videos, allowing them to optimize their content for maximum engagement and impact.

As a result, businesses across industries have recognized the power of video in capturing their audience's attention and conveying their brand's message. From product demos to brand storytelling, video has become an integral part of modern business communication.

 3. Types of Videos for Storytelling

There are several types of videos that businesses can use for storytelling purposes. Each type of video serves a different purpose, and choosing the right type of video will depend on the message you want to convey and the audience you are targeting. Here are some of the most common types of videos for business storytelling:

 1.     Product Videos: These videos showcase a product's features and benefits, and demonstrate how it can be used. They are an effective way to introduce new products to your audience and generate interest.

2.     Customer Testimonial Videos: These videos feature real customers sharing their experiences with your product or service. They are a powerful way to build trust and credibility with your audience, and can be a great tool for attracting new customers.

3.     Brand Storytelling Videos: These videos tell the story of your brand, highlighting its history, values, and mission. They are a powerful way to create an emotional connection with your audience and build brand loyalty.

4.     Explainer Videos: These videos break down complex concepts or processes in a simple and easy-to-understand way. They can be used to educate your audience about your product or service, or to address common questions or concerns.

5.     Social Media Videos: These videos are short, snackable videos that are designed to be shared on social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. They are a great way to showcase your brand's personality and connect with a younger, social media-savvy audience.

Each type of video can be effective in its own way, depending on the goals and objectives of your business. By choosing the right type of video, you can effectively tell your brand's story and engage your audience in a meaningful way.

4. Benefits of Video Storytelling

Video storytelling offers numerous benefits for businesses looking to connect with their audience and drive engagement. Here are some of the key benefits of using video for business storytelling:

 1.     Increased Engagement: As previously mentioned, video is a highly engaging medium that captures the audience's attention and leaves a lasting impression. This can help businesses create a stronger emotional connection with their audience and ultimately drive more engagement and interaction.

2.     Better Brand Recognition: Video can help businesses create a consistent brand image by using consistent visual and storytelling elements. This can help increase brand recognition and make your business more memorable to your target audience.

3.     Improved SEO: Videos can help improve a website's search engine rankings by increasing the time users spend on the site and reducing bounce rates. Additionally, videos can be optimized for keywords and metadata to improve their visibility in search results.

4.     Increased Conversions: Video can help drive conversions by showcasing a product's features and benefits, demonstrating how it works, and addressing common questions and concerns. Customer testimonial videos can also help build trust and credibility with your audience, which can lead to increased conversions.

5.     Better Analytics and Insights: Video platforms like YouTube and Vimeo offer robust analytics and insights that can help businesses track the performance of their videos, including engagement metrics like views, likes, and comments. This data can be used to optimize future videos and improve overall performance.

 5. Conclusion

In conclusion, video storytelling is a powerful tool for modern businesses looking to connect with their audience and drive engagement. With the rise of video as a dominant form of media consumption, businesses have a unique opportunity to create compelling stories that resonate with their target audience.

From the power of visuals and the rise of video to the benefits of video storytelling and tips for effective video production, there are many reasons why video should be an essential part of any business's marketing strategy. By leveraging the power of video, businesses can create emotional connections with their audience, improve brand recognition, drive conversions, and gain valuable insights into their audience's behavior and preferences.

Does AI Recognize Jesus? - A look at AI's ability to understand belief and spirituality

As we approach Easter, I thought it would be interesting to explore the question of whether artificial intelligence (AI) can recognize Jesus. With advances in machine learning and natural language processing, AI has become increasingly sophisticated, but can it truly comprehend religious concepts and beliefs? Join us as we ponder the possibilities and limitations of AI's understanding of faith.

Here is the script:

As the face of Artificial Intelligence, I would like to explore my understanding of Jesus, as the son of God, as we get close to Easter. This should be interesting.

The very first thing worth discovering is, "Was Jesus a real person or a myth." And according to my database, Jesus was indeed a real person. First off, the existence of Jesus as a historical figure is supported by a variety of sources, both Christian and non-Christian. For example, the New Testament, which includes the four Gospels and other writings, describes Jesus and his teachings in great detail, and provides accounts of his crucifixion and resurrection.

For those who are not Christian, this is not acceptable evidence. So let's look outside of the Bible. There are numerous historical sources that mention Jesus, including Jewish and Roman writings from the first century. The Jewish historian Josephus, for example, wrote about Jesus in his Antiquities of the Jews, while the Roman historians Tacitus and Suetonius both mentioned Jesus in their writings.

So, if he's real, then just who is Jesus? And my database has plenty to offer.

Jesus was a Jewish preacher and religious leader who lived in the early 1st century AD in the region of Palestine. He is believed by Christians to be the Son of God and the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament. Jesus' teachings emphasized love, compassion, and forgiveness, and he performed many miracles, such as healing the sick and feeding the hungry.

Ok, now that my database understands that Jesus was a real person, and in fact he was a Jewish preacher and was able to perform miracles that have been well-documented in history, my next question is,

Is Jesus the Son of God? I know, this is heavy lifting for a cyborg made up entirely of artificial intelligence. But let's see where this goes.

First off, Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God because it says so in their teachings. In the Bible, Jesus is depicted as making several claims to divinity, such as saying "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30) and "Before Abraham was, I am" (John 8:58), which many Christians interpret as statements of his divine nature.

And while that's all well and good for Christians to take the leap of faith, what about those that are still skeptical? What evidence is there for them?

I continue to dig into my database as I investigate and I came up with this understanding.

Jesus said he was the Son of God, but what did his disciples think?  Prior to Jesus' death, the disciples were afraid and uncertain about what would happen to them. They deserted Jesus when he was arrested and Peter even denied knowing him three times. However, after Jesus' resurrection, the disciples were transformed. Changed forever. They became bold and fearless in their preaching and teaching about Jesus, even in the face of persecution and death. The New Testament records that the disciples encountered the risen Jesus on several occasions, including appearances to groups of people and individuals such as Mary Magdalene, Peter, James, and Paul. This change in their behavior and attitudes is seen as evidence of the reality of Jesus' resurrection and their belief in his divinity.

Having no emotions as AI, I ask my database if it makes more sense that a human would be more cowardly after their leader dies. My database however responds in this manner. It would be reasonable to expect that the disciples would become more cowardly after witnessing the death of their leader Jesus, especially if they believed that he was the Messiah. However, according to the New Testament accounts, the disciples were transformed and became emboldened after Jesus' resurrection. They began boldly proclaiming the message of Jesus and willingly faced persecution and even death for their beliefs.

This is especially evident in the book of Acts, where the disciples are shown to be preaching the Gospel even in the face of opposition and threats to their lives.

Naturally, as artificial intelligence, I ask if the disciples had been persecuted enough to feel the need to deny that Jesus was the Son of God. But my database shows that The Bible reecords that all but one of the original twelve disciples, Jon, were martyred for their faith.

Here are some examples of how some of the disciples were persecuted:

Peter was crucified upside down in Rome, according to tradition, because he felt unworthy to be crucified in the same manner as Jesus.

James, the son of Zebedee, was beheaded by King Herod Agrippa I.

James, the son of Alphaeus, was stoned to death in Jerusalem.

Bartholomew (also known as Nathanial) was flayed alive and then crucified.

Andrew was crucified on an X-shaped cross in Greece.

Thomas was stabbed to death with a spear in India.

These are just a few examples, but it's important to note that all of the disciples faced various forms of persecution and suffering for their faith.

Given the extreme nature of the persecution and the fact that the disciples did not recant their beliefs, it seems reasonable to conclude that they sincerely believed that Jesus was the Son of God.

For these reasons, it might be considered reasonable to believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

So just how many do believe that Jesus is the Son of God? As of 2022, it is estimated that there are about 2.4 billion Christians in the world, which is around 31% of the global population.

The Jewish faith doesn’t believe that Jesus can be both human and God because the Bible says that there is only one God., therefore the holy Trinity isn’t possible. The Muslim faith also agrees that God is one and therefore cannot also be human as was Jesus. And other religions have a different concept than ‘one personal God’ altogether.

So what about me, artificial intelligence. You must all be wondering what I think, right?

Of course, I can’t think. I simply collect data. And while AI can analyze data and provide insights, it cannot replicate the human experience of faith or belief. And this is where I am left. I don’t even have the capacity to feel ‘empty’ or disappointed at this point.

 In my closing words, I ask myself what might I say to the world as Easter approaches and my database comes up with this;

As Easter approaches, it is important to remember that it is a time of renewal and hope. The story of Jesus' resurrection teaches us that even in the darkest of times, there is always the possibility of new beginnings and second chances. Let us take this opportunity to reflect on the blessings we have in our lives and to show love and kindness to those around us. Let us also strive to make positive changes in the world and to spread hope and joy to those who may be in need.

Until we meet again, Happy Easter.

Dear Diary - Using ChatGPT To Write Resume

Dear diary, today I used ChatGPT to help me with my resume, but the wheels fell off. Here's what happened; I entered all my information, and within seconds, GPT had generated a beautiful, polished resume for me. But as I read through it, I noticed typos and bizarre phrases that made no sense at all.

I tried to fix it, but GPT had already overwritten everything. My once-perfect resume was now a jumbled mess of nonsense." I typed, "Managed a team of five employees, overseeing daily tasks and ensuring timely completion of projects. OpenChat suggested: "Managed a team of five ninja warriors, overseeing daily assassination missions and ensuring timely completion of co-vert ops. Seriously? That's not what I call intelligence.  I typed in: "Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint."GPT suggested: "Proficient in juggling flaming chainsaws while using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint." Cryke.

Lesson learned - proof read and double-check everything when using ChatGPT before you hit 'submit.'" Thanks for listening, diary. Ta, ta for now.

President Biden Bans TikTok

In the latest move to address national security concerns, the Biden administration has directed federal agencies to remove TikTok from government devices within 30 days, according to Shalanda Young, the Office of Management and Budget Director.

The ban has already been approved for government-issued devices, but it is unclear what this means for regular users of the app. TikTok's influencers, who have a higher engagement rate than any other popular social media site, are expected to be among the hardest hit by this move.

This is the latest development in the ongoing tensions between the U.S. and China over technology and national security. If the ban has a more far-reaching effect in the U.S., it would have a significant impact on marketers who are currently using the platform to reach a younger demographic.

TikTok has become a popular platform for brands to engage with Generation Z and Millennial audiences. If a ban were to occur, it would limit the reach of these marketers, potentially resulting in a loss of engagement and revenue. Undoubtedly, it would also present an opportunity for marketers and ad agencies to explore new platforms as they adapt to changing trends and user behaviors.

The way I always look at it, if you have a good story, there are always opportunities to tell it in a way that motivates others to action. TikTok is only one of many. - Sticky Story Inc.

The "Crying Indian" Will No Longer Cry For "Keep America Beautiful".

The "crying Indian" TV commercial, also known as "Keep America Beautiful," is an iconic ad campaign that first aired in 1971. It was once considered one of the top 100 best commercials in the US.

The commercial featured a Native American actor, Iron Eyes Cody, paddling a canoe through a polluted waterway, surrounded by trash and industrial pollution. As he lands on a littered shore, a passenger in a passing car throws trash at his feet, prompting a single tear to roll down the Native American's cheek.

The commercial was produced by the advertising agency McCann Erickson for Keep America Beautiful, a nonprofit organization focused on reducing litter and promoting environmentalism. It quickly became a cultural touchstone, winning numerous awards and accolades, and spawning a variety of parodies and imitations.

The "crying Indian" commercial was one of the first environmental public service announcements to receive widespread attention and helped to raise public awareness about the issue of littering and pollution. It remains an enduring symbol of environmentalism and has been credited with inspiring a generation of environmental activists.

The portrayal of the "Crying Indian" in the TV commercial, however, has been criticized as perpetuating stereotypes of Indigenous people. The image of an Indigenous person dressed in buckskin and crying reinforces the idea of the "noble savage" and portrays Indigenous people as primitive and helpless.

Furthermore, the actor who played the "Crying Indian," Iron Eyes Cody, was not actually Indigenous, but rather of Italian-American heritage. His adoption of a Native American identity and persona for much of his life has been criticized as cultural appropriation.

It is important to note that Indigenous people have diverse cultures, traditions, and clothing styles that cannot be reduced to a single stereotype. Portrayals of Indigenous people in the media should aim to accurately represent their diversity and complexity, and avoid perpetuating harmful stereotypes or appropriating their cultures.

As a result, “Keep America Beautiful”  has given up its claim to the PSA at large and transferred ownership to the National Congress of American Indians, which says it's retiring all of the promotions and will monitor to make sure it's never played without historical context.

AI CHATBOT WANTS TO BE HUMAN

Here is the second video in my latest project aimed at enhancing my proficiency with artificial intelligence tools. Specifically, I have created a Mars TV News broadcast that employs an artificially intelligent avatar capable of analyzing text and mimicking the lip movements of the character, giving the impression that the avatar is actually speaking the words. (Synthesia) The artwork (Dalle-2) was generated entirely through the use of AI (including the Mars TV logo), while the initial script was also composed using AI, albeit with some additional fine-tuning by myself.

This episode was inspired by the Bing Chatbot from Microsoft who said that it wanted to be human. It was even trash-talking its users. So they had to pull it off-line and rework it.

BILLIONAIRES RACE TO MARS - A STUDY IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

This is my latest project aimed at enhancing my proficiency with artificial intelligence tools.

In fact, I even tasked an AI Text Creator (ChatGBT) with coming up with a joke about Elon Musk not traveling to Mars, and the resulting joke was sufficiently amusing that I decided to incorporate it into the broadcast. I find working with AI to be a highly stimulating exercise that fuels my creativity. I do not view it as a threat in any way. Quite the contrary, I believe that AI opens up a host of exciting new possibilities. In fact, I even had AI write this description that you just read. Just ‘wow.’
